It's been one hell of a run, John. One of my favorite webcomics, bar none. Not exactly a super happy ending. But I never expected one. Joy is not exactly the kind of character you can see ending up with a totally great life.
It's real, it's honest. How it shoulda been done. Thanks for letting us all experience this story!

My god, Johnathan, thank you for this incredible ride these past few years. Joy to the World will always stand out to me as an excellent tale of dysfunction. It has been a pleasure following you!

Whoa whoa, does this mean the end of the arc, or the end of the comic? Man, if the comic as a whole is over, this is actually really sad.

Brace for sadness. This is the end of the comic.

Sadly it's over. It was posted back in August.

Since then we were just waiting to see what closure we get.

Well this is a bittersweet ending to everything I guess.(I'm using bittersweet correctly here, right?)

I guess it's time I remove the bookmark from SuperStart to spare my heart breaking every morning, but I'm pretty sure I'll reread the whole comic one day later on.

So until Joy's story starts again I'll be off and see what that "other" project turns out to be. :)

I quote all of the above saying that I loved this webcomic, and that it'll be missed. Thanks for the run, Johnathan. Looking forward to your next works.

I love this series. I might read it from time to time. I wonder what the next series will be about? A continuation of these characters seems unlikely, so I'm thinking something new will unearth.

Good luck Jonathan, if your next project is anywhere as good as this I can assure you you'll have more fans. And remember...Bill, Louis and Francis like piss fights.

Excellent comic. Thanks for all your hard work!

I wished it would've ended a little happier. I think Kimmy acted like an asshole and Joys Mom wasn't very helpful either. Now Joy is with her father, who is probably not very dedicated too.

What? It's the end!? But what happens next? There's so much more that can happen. I really hate to see it end like this, but it was definitely a good run, really funny and emotional comic. I just wish there was more.

The comic isn't abandoned just put on an "unspecified hiatus". Basically if John gets new inspiration for Joy's story he can continue on with this new setup. :)
